Italian Charm InformationWelcome to
my Italian Charm Information Site.
I put this site up to answer common questions about
Italian Charm bracelets. Although I am in the
Italian Charm business, I will try to keep the site as
information-oriented as possible, without letting my
own biases through to often. Drop me an email and
let me know how I am doing or if there are other
Italian Charm questions you would like me to
tackle.
You can
see a variety of topics about Italian Charms on the left. Click on any of those
you are interested in. Read on for introductory information about Italian Charms.
What are Italian Charms? The first question is always "What are
Italian Charms." Italian Charms are the hottest jewelry craze to come along since...
well, probably since the wedding ring! They are small rectangular pieces of stainless steel with emblems or designs
on them that snap together to make a bracelet. By my last count, there are about 6,000 different Italian Charm
designs out there. This means you can build an Italian Charm bracelet that reflects your personality and interests in
incredible detail. Odds are there are Italian Charms for your hobby, whether it is hang gliding or cow
tipping. There are Italian Charms for your college, whether you went to USC or University of Podunk, USA. There
are Italian Charms for every animal, every sport, every food (almost!). You name it, there is an Italian Charm for it.
The neat
thing about Italian Charms is that people ask you what your bracelet is all about, and you tell them the meaning
behind each Italian Charm. People give Italian Charms as gifts, they collect them, they swap with friends, and so on.
I think that is why they are so popular, because they are so fun!
Who Wears Italian Charm Bracelets?When
the craze first started it was young women who first started wearing Italian Charm bracelets. Actually,
if you go all the way back, it was professional soccer players, but you can read about that in
the history section. But Italian Charm bracelets are now worn pretty evenly by all age brackets from the proverbial
9 to 90. They hit the US in California and took off from there and can now be found in every city
of the country. Because some Italian Charms are very expensive and some are very inexpensive, they are
worn by both the rich and poor. Although there are larger sizes for men, they have never caught
on the in the US, but in Europe, where men are more likely to wear jewelry, they are worn by men.
How many Italian Charms make up a bracelet?Good question! The answer is
about 17. You start with a base bracelet which is 14 blank Italian Charms. You then buy a few to
add to it, and you have a bracelet big enough to fit your wrist. As you buy more and more Italian Charms, you start taking the
blank Italian Charms out until they are all gone. Then you start another Italian Charm bracelet. It is very addictive
The most bracelets I have ever seen a woman wear is 6 at once!
How much do Italian Charms cost?
I knew you would ask that sooner or later! The cheapest charms you can get are about $3. The most expensive ones
I have seen are $50. Most are $15 - $20 for a top-quality, branded charm. (For more information about quality,
read the "quality" section of this web site). I know I said I would keep the ads to a minimum, but at this
point I have to suggest you check out JJ Kent , who I think has the best selection and prices on the Internet.
That is about it for the introduction. Click around on the left for more topics.
