What are Laser Italian Charms?

Most Italian Charms are in full color enamel. Although there are thousands of different enamel Italian Charms, people always seem to want one that doesn't yet exist!

Because of the costs in making a new design, manufacturers only make an Italian Charm if they think they can sell over 1000 of them. For all the less popular Italian Charms, they use a different technology that allows them to make just a few Italian Charms at time. These are laser Italian Charms.

For instance, for a popular breed of dog, like the Poodle, a full-color enamel Italian Charm would be commissioned. But for a very obscure breed, a laser Italian Charm would be made.

Laser Italian Charms are blank steel charms which are etched with a laser beam. The laser etching is permanent - you would have to use a file to scratch it.

Laser Italian Charms are less expensive than enamel Italian Charms and are always under $10. They allow you to get very unusual Italian Charms. The downside is that the laser etching is in grey, so they don't have any other color.
